Horse Guards Parade Ground lies in the heart of Whitehall, Westminster. It is across from St. James’s park, next to Downing St and a short walk from Trafalgar Square. The Parade Ground is the heart of London’s ceremonial life and hosts Trooping the Colour, The Queen’s official birthday ceremony.
With such a location, entrance and surrounding are The Household Cavalry Museum is truly one of London’s most exclusive places to hold your next event. Originally, Henry VIII’s jousting ground the current building dates from the 1750s and is one of London’s most iconic buildings. Used as the official gateway to the Royal Palace, it makes a dramatic and memorable setting for events. Opened by the Queen in a ceremonial pageant in 2007, the Museum houses three galleries. Uniquely, one of the galleries is in the original Cavalry stables and there is a glass partition which allows guests to view into the current working stable of The Household Cavalry as they work during their 24 hour official guard before the daily Changing of the Guard ceremony. The main gallery has magnificent and original vaulted ceilings which provide a grand, light and airy setting for events. With beautiful exhibits that combined with the view into the stables with the cavalry men and horses at work there is always plenty of interest and talking points for your guests.
Although the setting and building is historic the museum seamlessly combines the modern, with modern exhibits, lighting and air conditioning.
